Barry G. Segal is licensed to practice Law in all state courts in the State of Florida and in all courts of the Federal Southern District of Florida and is a past President of the Indian River County Bar Association. He is board certified as a real estate attorney by the florida bar. as a Board certified lawyer, his experience and competency have been rigorously evaluated. Since joining a boutique Real Estate law firm in Boca Raton, Florida in 1996, Mr. Segal has specialized in the area of Real Estate Law. His practice includes the representation of both buyers and sellers, the issuance of title insurance and the completion of title searches and abstracts. He also provides for the litigation needs of his clients in matters of Real Estate Law having tried both jury and bench trials.
Mr. Segal has tried cases to verdicts in both State and Federal Court and has appeared in cases before the Fourth District Court of Appeals. His clientele includes not only individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations but also Condominium and Homeowners’ Associations, institutional and private mortgage lenders as well as various not-for-profit organizations. While practicing in South Florida, he developed the Foreclosure Department for that firm while handling millions of dollars of Mortgage Foreclosures throughout the State of Florida. Today, he continues to practice in these areas here on the Treasure Coast.
In addition to representing the individual needs of his clients as they purchase and sell real property, he also handles Landlord/Tenant matters, Mortgage Foreclosures (both for lenders and borrowers), Mortgage Modification Agreements, Construction contracting and Construction Defect litigation, Subdivision development, Land Use Planning and Governmental Regulation, Business formation (e.g. Limited Liability Companies and Corporations), and Real Estate related litigation.
As A graduate of the Shepard Broad Law Center of the Nova Southeastern University, he has been practicing in the area of Real Estate Law since 1996 and in Vero Beach, Florida since 1999. An avid runner and triathlete, he has finished Ironman USA in Lake Placid, NY as well as races throughout the country including the Chicago, Marine Corps, Disney and Jacksonville marathons as well as the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Segal donates his time to the Indian River County School Board as Hearing Officer and is a past president and director of the Indian River County Bar Association. He is a member of the Florida Bar’s Real Property and Trust Law Section, the Treasure Coast Real Property Council and is an agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. He is also a member of the nineteenth judicial circuit professionalism panel. He has been the race director for the Sunrunners 10K, one of the most continuously run 10 kilometer road races in the State of Florida.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he grew up in Vero Beach graduating from Vero Beach High School and Florida State University.
